Geriatric care

As we get older, joints stiffen, discs wear and balance can change. Gentle, adapted care can help ease pain and stiffness, so you can keep walking, travelling and doing the things you enjoy.

Common concerns we help with

  • Back and neck stiffness from age-related wear (spondylosis)
  • Leg pain or heaviness when walking from spinal stenosis
  • Hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis
  • Balance, confidence and staying active

How we help

We review your health and medications, then choose gentle techniques that suit your bones and joints, including low-force adjustments and mobilisation. Care often includes simple strength and balance exercises you can do at home.

If you have osteoporosis or other medical conditions, we adapt treatment and work alongside your doctor. All our doctors care for seniors at both clinics.

Your first visit

Your first consultation takes about 25 to 30 minutes and costs $180 before GST. We listen to your history, examine you, explain what we find and what we recommend, and you decide whether to start care. No referral is needed, and insurance claims are supported.

When to see a doctor urgently

Please see a medical doctor or go to A&E (or call 995 in an emergency) if you have:

  • A fall with severe pain, or being unable to bear weight
  • Sudden weakness, numbness or trouble speaking (call 995)
  • Back pain with fever, weight loss or a history of cancer

We cannot reverse arthritis, but gentle joint care and exercise can ease pain and stiffness and help you stay mobile.

Can family members come along?

Of course. Family members are welcome to join the visit.
