Common sports injuries we see
- Low back pain from lifting or golf swings
- Ankle sprains and Achilles or calf strains
- Runner’s knee and hip pain
- Shoulder and elbow pain from racquet sports, swimming or the gym
- Hamstring and groin strains
How we help
We assess the injured area and the way you move, because injuries often come from weakness or stiffness elsewhere. Care may include joint adjustments, soft-tissue therapy, taping, and a step-by-step return-to-sport plan with strength and mobility exercises.
Our doctors have training in sports chiropractic and injury rehabilitation, and many are active themselves.
How long recovery takes
Minor strains often settle in a few weeks; ligament and tendon injuries can take longer. We will give you a realistic timeline and tell you what you can keep doing in the meantime.
Your first visit
Your first consultation takes about 25 to 30 minutes and costs $180 before GST. We listen to your history, examine you, explain what we find and what we recommend, and you decide whether to start care. No referral is needed, and insurance claims are supported.
When to see a doctor urgently
Please see a medical doctor or go to A&E (or call 995 in an emergency) if you have:
- A possible fracture: severe pain, swelling or being unable to bear weight
- A joint that looks deformed or gives way
- A head injury or concussion symptoms
Frequently asked questions
Should I rest completely after a sports injury?
Usually not. Relative rest, protecting the injured area while staying active elsewhere, tends to give better results.
Do you treat weekend athletes, not just professionals?
Yes. Most of our sports patients are runners, gym-goers, golfers and weekend players.
Do I need a scan?
Not always. If your examination suggests a tear or fracture, we will refer you for imaging.
